Wirklich ziemlich zufällig bin ich über ein Posting in einem koreanischen Blog mit dem Namen LIStory gestolpert. Ohne auch nur den Hauch einer Ahnung zu haben, was sonst in diesem Artikel geschrieben wird, möchte ich den englischen Teil zitieren:
Books are for library evaluation.
Some reader his or her book.
Some book its reader.
Save the time of the librarian.
The Library is a silent organism.
Sieht nach einer Polemik über nicht besonders nutzerfreundliche Bibliotheken aus. Liest zufällig jemand mit, der den Rest übersetzen kann?

Next stop in our LibWorld series is Iran. Alireza Noruzi, faculty member of the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Tehran will introduce the history of the Persian biblioblogosphere to us, followed by some general remarks about library science blogging and an overview about a selection of Persian blogs.
Alireza Noruzi received his Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Paul Cezanne in France. Besides Alireza Noruzi received a M.A. degree in Information Science from the University of Tehran in 2001 and B.A. degree in Library and Information Science from Shiraz University in 1998. Michael Stephens versucht sich an (noch einer) Neudefinition von Ranganathans Gesetzen. Sein Vorschlag:
1. Collections are for use.
2. Every collection its user.
3. Every user his collection.
4. Save time & energy of user.
5. The library is a growing organism.
