WorldCat Registry
- Create and manage a profile that centralizes and automates information sharing with vendors and others—you don’t maintain multiple identities, and their data is always up-to-date
- Get greater Internet visibility for your collection and services through syndication of your data over a variety of Web services including WorldCat.org

So, we’re basically hoarding knowledge that was developed by the world’s peoples, the same peoples we got the wealth from by stripping self-determination from them, and then costing access to it at a price they can’t afford.
ALL WE NEED TO DO is direct our vandalism entirely to the article about chickens. Imagine a Wikipedia free of vandalism! A WIKIPEDIA FREE OF PAGES THAT SAY JODIE FOSTER IS HISTORY’S GREATEST VILLAIN. I like Jodie Foster. I think she’s great.
Friends, this goal is within reach. I give you a new Wikipedia. A Wikipedia evolved, a Wikipedia that lives here in the real world. A Wikipedia that makes just one tiny concession to vandals, a concession for the greater good. I give you Wikipedia 2.0, otherwise known as Wikipedia: Every Topic In The Universe, Except Chickens (Dot Com).
Innovative Bibliotheksseiten
- User 2.0: Innovative Library Sites (Part 1 – Academic Libraries)
- User 2.0: Innovative Library Sites (Part 2 – Public Libraries)
Bayerische Staatsbibliothek erster deutscher Google-Partner

Nature Network for innovative librarians
Via Medinfo I learned about a new scientific networking platform called Nature Networks. I registered and formed a new group: Innovative Library.
First topic: „Why networking?“
Maybe this could be the only topic in this group. The simple question is: Should librarians network for scientific reasons?
To me, the library and information sciences always seemed to be very concentrated on national issues. International discussion or even collaboration does not really take place.
Maybe networking tools and platforms like Nature Network could establish a new and innovative culture of sharing and discussion?
I guess it’s worth a try.
