Die Stadtbibliothek Nordhorn übernimmt in Zukunft die Aufgaben einer Hochschulbibliothek für die Medikon GmbH, deren Lehrveranstaltungen in einem Krankenhaus stattfinden und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Saxion Hogeschool in Enschede (NL) angeboten werden.

Bürgerbeteiligung steht in Hamburg hoch im Kurs. Die Bibliothek des Departments Chemie der Universität Hamburg machte in ihrem Blog vier Vorschläge für die Umgestaltung eines Lesesaals und ließ die Leserschaft abstimmen. Das Ergebnis:
Gewonnen hat Vorschlag B mit 45% und wird jetzt umgesetzt.

Google hat Metaweb übernommen, die unter anderem Freebase betreiben. Freebase soll frei und offen zugänglich bleiben. Eine gute Gelegenheit, mal wieder auf Freebase Parallax hinzuweisen. Wer herumklickend erproben möchte, was dieses ganze Gerede um das Semantic Web soll, dem kann ich einen Besuch sehr empfehlen.
